Hostel vs PG: Which one is better?

Hostels are designed primarily for students and emphasizes communal living. It lacks even the most fundamental conveniences, including WIFI, housekeeping, ACs, coolers, etc., and only has public restrooms.

In comparison to PG, living in a hostel is fairly reasonable, however there may occasionally be additional hidden charges. Hostels that have adequate security personnel at all hours of the day and night offer a secure environment; in contrast, PG accommodations are generally secure but occasionally lack that security.

PG housing offers a level of freedom that students living in hostels could not have access to since they need a parent's or local guardian's permission to do so.

If you have a single room at a PG, you might enjoy a great deal of privacy, however hostels are boisterous all the time, so forget about getting some alone time. Hostels make compromises with cleanliness, whereas PGs maintain a clean and hygienic environment, which is essential during a covid outbreak.

The majority of bathrooms are filthy. Hostel food is a mess, whereas PGs typically serve straightforward but delicious meals.
